  • Year Group Focus—Year 4

    Fri 15 May 2026

Last week, year 4 enjoyed a day trip to Hollingworth Lake. The children took part in a range of different activities including sailing a boat and paddling a bell boat. The children also enjoyed cruising on the Lady Catherine which was the Lake's oldest boat.

In DT, the children have been making their money containers this week, using a range of different stitches including the running stitch and the back stitch. The children were pleasantly surprised by their sewing skills and have had lots of fun choosing buttons for their fastenings.

4B have been learning 'Sunshine in my Heart' in sign language which they performed during assembly!

Next week, the children are going to have a special visitor come into class to do a career talk. They will be visited by an engineer and will have the opportunity to ask questions!
