  • Celebration Assembly

    This morning in ‘Celebration Assembly’ we celebrated the achievements of four of our students from Early Years through to Upper Key Stage 2.


    Mrs Cunningham was proud to present certificates to:

     

    Early Years - Oliver Heatley (R)
    For an outstanding attitude towards learning and a massive improvement in his numeracy.

     

    Key Stage 1 -  Aleeza Hussain (Y2)
    For excellent writing and attitude to learning.

     

    Lower Key Stage 2– Vincent Agbeja (Y3)
    For his fantastic attitude to all aspects of his learning.

     

    Upper Key Stage 2 - Eshal Arif (Y5)
    For his fantastic maths work.

  • Musical Evening Key Stage 2

    What a fantastic and popular musical evening we had from our Key Stage 2 children who entertained us with their musical talent on Wednesday night. A big thank you to Mr Rimmer for organizing the evening and to everyone who came and supported such a wonderful evening. Well done!
  • Rochdale AFC Year 1 Football Competition

    Well done to our Year 1's who were chosen to represent Marland Hill in the Rochdale AFC Year 1 Football Competition. The tournament took place at Spotland Stadium last Friday and a fun afternoon was had by all. Well done!
  • IPLCN Visit - English Instiute of Sport

    Six of our gifted and talented PE children went to Sheffield to visit the English Institute of sport last Wednesday. They took part in boxing, various athletic sessions and then had a tour of the centre. What an exciting and inspiring day! 
  • Year 3 Trip to Hollingworth Lake

    Fri 20 May 2016
    Two exciting afternoons were had by Year 3 building rafts and paddling canoes on Hollingworth Lake. Everyone had great fun, learnt some new skills and got a little bit wet! Well done Year 3.
  • Behaviour on School Grounds

    Please can we remind parents/carers to behave in an appropriate manner on school grounds. Our school is a place where children should feel safe and secure. We, as adults, are role models to the children and need to behave in a calm and sensible manner around them, teaching them the right way to behave. Thank you for your support.
  • Parent Drop In

    Fri 13 May 2016

    Our next parent drop in will be on Monday 16th May from 9.00am. These drop in's are a way to give feedback  and help us to make improvements at Marland Hill. If you feel you can contribute, or have any ideas, please come along on Monday 16th May for a coffee (or tea) and a chat. Mrs Cunningham looks forward to seeing you.

  • Girl's Football

    Well done to our girls football team in the recent Rochdale AFC tournament. They reached the finals of the of the tournament but lost on penalties. Brilliant effort girls!
