.
In Year 1 our current topic is 'Florence Nightingale.' As part of our topic work we will be sorting and ordering the events that took place in her lifetime. We will then move on to creating our own timelines, reflecting on the events in our own lives.
We would like the children to upload 3 photographs on to Tapestry.
- A picture of them when they were born
- A picture of them on their first birthday
- A picture of them when they started school
We will be cutting, ordering and sticking these to create our own timelines. If you would prefer to send these photographs by email you can email them to the school office (office@marlandhill.rochdale.sch.uk) with the header FAO: FAO: Mr Childs or FAO: Mrs Heselwood. We would like the photographs to be in school by next Tuesday 4th May.
HI have been working on their Topic ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’. During outdoor learning session they created their story maps using the natural resources found on the school grounds. They also made collages in pairs using different beans, lentils and pulses.
Tempest Photographers have been today to take photos of reception and Year 6, both individual and class photos. Please contact them directly to order any photos you wish to purchase: www.tempest-orders.co.uk or 01736 751555. Thank you.
Please can we remind you all to please drop and collect children on time to school. Children should not be passing through reception. Thank you.
As a gift from Marland Hill Primary school we would like to gift to our Year 6 pupils, a Year 6 Leavers Hoddie for each child. The first name of your child will be printed onto the hoodie. If you would like one ordered for your child you must complete the form on Parent Mail no later than Friday 7th May. Unfortunately we will not be able to order one after this date due to allow time for them to be ordered on time. Thank you.
Tempest photography will be in school on Wednesday this week and will be taking whole class photographs for Reception and Year 6. If for any reason you do not wish your child to be included on the photos then please send an email to office@marlandhill.rochdale.sch.uk by 4pm tomorrow (Tuesday).
Kind regards
