  • Celebration Assembly

    Fri 28 Apr 2017

This morning in celebration assembly we celebrated the achievements of our students across the school. Mrs Cunningham was proud to present:

    Early Years - Deacon Baron
For partitioning two digit numbers in maths.

Key Stage 1 - Zaid Anwar
For fantastic effort in all of his work and great behaviour. His main achievement has been for his amazing joined up handwriting, something which he has tried really hard to develop.

    Lower KS2 - Lily Hulme
    For outstanding art work.

Upper Key Stage 2 - Reem Naiem in Year 6
For her excellent attitude towards all her work and, in particular, the talent she shows in her art work.

    Year 4 Swimmers
A number of our Year 4 swimmers from last term received their swimming certificates.
Please see our celebration Assembly page under news and information for our Celebration Assembly video.

    Well done to all!

  • IPLCN Song Festival

    Wed 26 Apr 2017
The annual IPLCN Song Festival was held at Marland Hill Primary School on Wednesday morning.  All of the eleven primary schools from the IPLCN were invited to the event at Marland Hill.  It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to all come together and have the opportunity to share and celebrate their singing talents with other schools.   A huge thank you to Mr Rimmer for organising the event and to the Rochdale Music Service for providing the musical accompaniment.
  • Community Cohesion

    Tue 18 Apr 2017

On Tuesday this week we held our Community Cohesion day at Marland Hill.  Children from Marland Hill worked alongside children from Hamer Primary School, Lowerplace  Primary School and students from Rochdale Sixth Form College.  Throughout the day the children worked with a local magistrate and the local Police to give the children insight into the British justice and legal system as part of the Community Cohesion project and work around British Values.

A thoroughly enjoyable day was had by all!
