Anxiety in children
For many years it was believed that children did not experience depression or anxiety and that those who appeared to were merely malingering or attention seeking. This is no longer the case. It is now widely accepted that as many as 8 – 11% of children and adolescents suffer from anxiety that affects their ability to get on with their lives.

This week the children will once again be bringing home the knowledge organisers and homework tasks for over half term. We would appreciate your support in ensuring homework tasks are completed, and returned to school. It would also be beneficial to your child if you looked at and discussed the content of the knowledge organiser at intervals across the half term, enabling your child to share with you what they are learning in class.
Phonics Books are available to buy on Parent Mail for Reception, Year 1 and 2 to assist with your child’s Phonics learning. Please go to the shop section on Parent Mail.
The following children have been awarded ‘Star Reader’ and enjoyed going to the ‘Starbooks’ cafe in the library to enjoy a drink and a treat as their reward. Fantastic!
