From September the children on school dinners going into Year 3 will need to start paying for them. The price for school dinners will be going up to £3.10.
If you think you may be entitled to free school meals you can apply online: https://www.rochdale.gov.uk/benefits-money/free-school-meals
Please can we remind parents/carers to make the next payment instalment on Parent Mail as soon as possible. Payment is required in order to secure your child’s place on the residential visit.
You can pay on Parent Mail– payments and then shop.
Thank you.
Well done to Zaynah and Afnaan for being chosen as Breakfast Club Superstars!
FREE Summer Reading Challenge at the library!
You can make a huge difference by encouraging your pupils to take part in the Summer Reading Challenge. It’s the UK’s biggest reading for pleasure programme for children aged 4 to 11, delivered via public libraries. Children can sign up for free at their local library or online.
How it works:
· Children can sign up at their local library, where they will receive a special sticker booklet.
· They set a summer reading goal and choose books, eBooks, or audiobooks of their choice – logging their reading will earn sticker rewards.
· Libraries will be running a programme of free themed events and activities this summer!
· Children who complete the Challenge are presented with a certificate. You could organise a special assembly to present the certificates in the new term.
Children can take part online if they prefer! www.summerreadingchallenge.org.uk
