Please note that we do have Calpol in school to administer to children who may be poorly or in pain, however this is only in cases of emergency and cannot be given routinely. We would advise that if you know your child needs pain relief, where possible, please give your child some before school time.
If your child is unwell during the school day, we will call you to discuss further. Thank you for your support with this matter.
This term, every week we will be looking at children’s attendance and all those children who have 100% attendance for the week will be put in to a draw to win 10 Dojos. There will be one random winner from each class. To ensure your child is entered into this weekly draw, all you have to do is make sure they are in school on time every day. Thank you for your continued support.

Please see the letters sent out tonight that confirm which classes will/ will not be in school on Wednesday and Thursday. This is still subject to change, and we will communicate any changes to you as soon as we are able to.
Children whose classes are closed will be allocated a special attendance code to reflect this, which will not count against their attendance. Children whose classes are in that day will be expected to attend as normal, and will be marked as unauthorised if they are not in. We will follow up any absences in the usual way if we do not hear from parents.
For the children entitled to benefits related free school meals who are not in that day, a grab bag will be sent home in advance.
Please remember that this is nationally planned strike action, and is not specific just to Marland Hill. It is a national dispute between unions and the government, and not linked to any issues at our school.
