  Children in Year 3 have been learning about the Mayan Civilization. They have been making masks using paper mâché. Mishal and Connor really enjoyed this. Looks brilliant! Well done!

• Deaf Awareness Week 1st - 7th May

  Last week was Deaf Awareness Week and everyone was asked to participate in learning some sign language. The finger spelling challenge was to learn the alphabet and for the children to be able to sign their own name. All the children have been learning a ‘Sign of the Day’ and we will now continue with this weekly.

   

  

• Reading Workshops This Term

  Thank you to all parents who attended the reading workshop this week.

   

  Following the success of our reading workshops, we will be inviting parents in again to promote the benefits of positive reading with your child.

  Parents/carers are invited to attend, tea/coffee will be provided. The dates are as follows:

   

  · Monday 15^th May – Year 3

  · Monday 22^nd May – Year 1

  · Monday 12^th June – Year 2

   

  Sessions will run 9.00am-9.30am.

  As a school, we are working on promoting a love of reading and it would be great to have parents as positive reading role models for the children. We hope to see as many parents as possible.

• Choir

  Thank you to all the children that have signed up for the choir which is now full. The children will be performing in assembly over the coming weeks and parents will be invited to watch. More information to follow.

   

• Year 6 Hoodies

  A reminder that the deadline to order your Year 6 child a leavers hoody is today. If you would like one ordered for your child  you must complete the consent form on parent mail (This can be found in the forms section). Unfortunately, we will not be able to order one after this date. We are asking for a payment contribution of £5. (This can be paid on parent mail in the payment section/then shop).
