All year 1 parents are invited to attend a phonics meeting at 3.00 - 3.30pm on Tuesday 25th April in the Year 1 classrooms. This meeting will give you all the information that you need about the phonics screening check that will take place in June. We will also give you some ideas and resources that will enable you to further support your child at home. It will also give you the opportunity to ask any questions.
Happy Ramadan to those who will be fasting. Rania in Year 2 made this poster to celebrate Ramadan Mubarak!
We will be holding a uniform recycling stall on Thursday 30th March, at the end of the school day. Everyone is welcome to come! If you wish to come please come via the dance and drama entrance doors.
Year 6 A Miss Bingham’s class will be going on Friday 28th April to Oulder Hill for their food and technology visit.
To support reading, each child in EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2 has home access to e-books on www.oxfordowl.co.uk. Each child has instructions and a user name and password stuck into the front of their reading records to access this. Thank you for your continued support.
The following children have been awarded ‘Star Reader’ and enjoyed going to the ‘Starbooks’ cafe in the library to enjoy a drink and a treat as their reward. Fantastic!
Thank you to all parents who attended the reading workshop this week.

Following the success of this term’s workshops we will be inviting parents in again this term to promote the benefits of positive reading with your child. Parents/carers are invited to attend, tea/coffee will be provided. The dates are as follows:
· Monday 27th March Year 3
Sessions will run 9.00am-9.30am.
As a school, we are working on promoting a love of reading and it would be great to have parents as positive reading role models for the children
New Payment Provider
During March and April 2023, we are rolling out a change to our payment provider for credit and debit card payments from Pay360 to Barclays.
From 1st May 2023, we will stop processing transactions through Pay360. PayCash transactions will also stop from this date.
For security reasons your saved cards will be removed and when making a payment after the switchover date, you must enter your card details and can save them again for future use.
This term, every week we will be looking at children’s attendance and all those children who have 100% attendance for the week will be put in to a draw to win 10 Dojos. There will be one random winner from each class. To ensure your child is entered into this weekly draw, all you have to do is make sure they are in school on time every day. Thank you for your continued support.
