Qasim remains the winner for another week. He is still our fastest mathematician, with a time of 0.49 seconds. Well done Qasim!
Please may we remind parents that children attending breakfast club should be escorted into school by a parent/guardian. Please do not drop your children off at the bottom of the path to walk into school alone. Thank you for your co-operation.

Week commencing Monday 11th November is national Anti-Bullying week This year the theme is ‘Change Starts With Us’. As part of our anti-bullying awareness week, we are asking the children to join in with our ‘odd socks day’ on Tuesday 12th November. Please can all children come to school wearing odd socks.
Don’t forget ‘Children In Need’ day next Friday 15th November. We are asking for donations of £1 in return for children wearing non uniform. Reception and Nursery children can attend school wearing ‘spots’ or their pyjamas, and our older children are being asked to dress in a ‘Rock Star’ theme. We look forward to seeing some fantastic outfits.
Letters have gone home today with your children for the Christmas Pantomime at Middleton Arena. Please can you return the permission slip to the school office as soon as possible. Thank you.
The nursery children will not have received letters as they will be watching a pantomime at school instead! We have a theatre company coming into school who will be performing 'Sleeping Beauty' for our nursery class. More information about this will be sent home soon.
Please may we remind parents that dogs are NOT permitted in the school grounds at any time. Thank you.
Please may we remind parents that it is essential your child has their FULL P.E. kit in school at all times. This includes pumps and/or trainers. Children need to have suitable footwear for P.E. for health & safety reasons. Please ensure your child has the correct kit in school. Thank you for your co-operation.
A letter has gone home regarding the number of children wearing items of jewellery in school. Please may I remind you that this is not appropriate, or part of the uniform policy, and I ask for your support in reminding your children of this. If earrings are worn, then they should only be a small pair of studs. Hoops or dangly earrings pose a health and safety risk to your child, so are therefore not suitable. Wrist watches may be worn if you choose for your child to have one, but they should not have the capacity to carry out any kind of recording on them. Necklaces and bracelets should not be worn at all in school. Could I also remind you that hairstyles should be sensible and appropriate for school. We encourage long hair to be tied back. Hairstyles should not include those with patterns or tramlines being shaved into the hair or eyebrows.
Over the coming weeks we will be speaking to the children about this, and reminding them of the rules. I would appreciate your support in reinforcing this if required.
