PE Timetable Changes
Mon 17 Oct 2022Year 1 will now have their PE day on Thursdays and Year 2 will have their PE day on Wednesdays for the rest of the term. Please ensure your child comes in their PE kit on this day. Thank you.

Year 6 Residential
Fri 14 Oct 2022A reminder that The Year 6 residential visit will be to the High Adventure Outdoor Education Centre in Keighley, West Yorkshire. This will take place from Wednesday 15th February 2023 until Friday 17th February 2023. The cost of the residential is £60 and we require a deposit of £10 to reserve your child’s place. The deposit must be received no later than Monday 17th October. (Unfortunately we cannot book after this date) Please go to parent mail in the payment section, then shop to book your child’s place.

Meal Patterns for Autumn 2
Fri 14 Oct 2022A reminder that meal patterns are set per half term and you cannot swap or change in-between.
After October half term from the week commencing 31st October (for the half term) if you wish for your child’s meal pattern to change then you must email the school office: office@marlandhill.rochdale.sch.uk no later than Friday 21st October. Thank you.

Water Bottles In School

Year 4 Linking Project
Fri 14 Oct 2022A reminder that Year 4 classes will be involved in the Rochdale Linking Network this academic year . As part of the project, both classes and their ‘link’ class will visit M6 Theatre in Rochdale. Mr Rimmer’s class will go on Friday 11th November and Mr Hudson’s class will go on Tuesday 22nd November. If you have not done so already please complete the consent form on parent mail, as soon as possible. This can be found in the forms section. Thank you.

Weekly 100% Attendance
Fri 14 Oct 2022This term, every week we will be looking at children’s attendance and all those children who have 100% attendance for the week will be put in to a draw to win 10 Dojos. There will be one random winner from each class. To ensure your child is entered into this weekly draw, all you have to do is make sure they are in school on time every day. Thank you for your continued support.

Starbooks Reader - Winners
Fri 14 Oct 2022The following children have been awarded ‘Star Reader’ and enjoyed going to the ‘Starbooks’ cafe in the library to enjoy a drink and a treat as their reward. Fantastic!

Year 6 Pioneers Museum Visit
Fri 14 Oct 2022As part of their History topic work on the Victorians this term, Year 6 went to visit the Rochdale Pioneers Museum . The children walked through Rochdale to get to the museum accompanied by school staff and thoroughly enjoyed their visit.

Staff Netball Tournament
Fri 14 Oct 2022Staff at Marland Hill have been competing in a netball tournament against staff from surrounding schools in the IPLCN. After drawing one game and winning the other three, Marland Hill have won the league title yet again. Well done staff!
