• Reading Workshops This Term

  Thank you to all parents/carers for attending the reading morning, it was lovely to see you all.

   

  Parents/carers are invited to attend, tea/coffee will be provided. The dates are as follows:

  Tuesday 3^rd October – Year 5

  Tuesday 10^th October – Year 4

  Tuesday 17^th October – Year 3

   

  Sessions will run 9.00am-9.30am.

  As a school, we are working on promoting a love of reading and it would be great to have parents as positive reading role models for the children. We hope to see as many parents as possible.

  The cost is £24, and will run every Monday from 3.15pm-3.45pm.

• Borrow a Book

  In the reception area, we have a book shelf filled with books for all ages across the school.

  Please feel free to come and borrow a book to read at home and then swap it for another when you have finished.

  If you have any books in good condition at home that you would like to donate, please bring them to the school office and we will add them to our Borrow a Book shelf.

   

  

• McMillian Coffee Morning

  Thank you to everyone who attended the McMillian coffee morning today.

   

  We would like to say a huge THANK YOU for all of your fantastic donations of cakes and bakes, they looked delicious. We have managed to raise lots of money and every penny will be going towards helping to support people living with cancer.

  As part of Tesco's Stronger Starts, a group of pupils went to encourage Tesco shoppers to vote for Marland Hill. Pupils spoke to members of the public and added lots of tokens to our total.

   

  If we win, Tesco will provide healthy snacks for all pupils so please keep adding your tokens!
