  This year, one of our school priorities is going to be to develop our careers education. We want to provide the children with positive role models and help them to build up an understanding of local industries to allow them to make informed choices about careers.

   

  We would like your help to do this. We would like to build up a bank of parents, or other family members, who would be willing to talk to a class of children about the job that they do. If you would like to help us with this then please could you contact the office with details of your job and a contact email or phone number.

• Reading Mornings

  Following the success of our reading workshops, we will be inviting parents in again to promote the benefits of positive reading with your child.

   

  Parents/carers are invited to attend, tea/coffee will be provided. The dates are as follows:

   

  Tuesday 17th September – Year 6

  Tuesday 24th September – Year 5

  Tuesday 1st October – Year 4

  Tuesday 8th October – Year 3

  Tuesday 15th October—Year 2

  Tuesday 22nd October—Year 1

  Tuesday 5th November—Year 6

  Tuesday 12th November—Year 5

  Tuesday 19th November—Year 4

  Tuesday 26th November—Year 3

  Tuesday 3rd December—Year 2

  Tuesday 10th December—Year 1

   

  Sessions will run 9.00am-9.30am.

  As a school, we are working on promoting a love of reading and it would be great to have parents as positive reading role models for the children. We hope to see as many parents as possible.

  Thank you to the parents who have made us aware of the Asda Cashpot for Schools initiative that is currently running. Unfortunately, by not having a PTA, we are not eligible for this scheme.

• Car Park

• Swimming

• Music Clubs

  For the Autumn term, Mr Rimmer will be taking on some Music Clubs, which will begin week

  commencing 16^th September. They will be as follows:

   

  · Monday Year 1 and Year 2: Voice and Percussion: 3.20pm-4pm.

   

  · Tuesday Year 3 to Year 6: Samba Drumming and Recorder: 3.10pm-3.50pm.

   

  Places are limited and will be on a first come first served  basis. Places must be booked on parent mail. If you wish to book a place please go to parent mail, payments and then shop. There is no cost but you will still need
