This term, every week we will be looking at children’s attendance and all those children who have 100% attendance for the week will be put in to a draw to win 10 Dojos. There will be one random winner from each class. To ensure your child is entered into this weekly draw, all you have to do is make sure they are in school on time every day. Thank you for your continued support.

If your circumstances have changed at home and you may be entitled to free school meals you can apply for this on the Rochdale Council website. Please speak to Sue in the office if you need any help with this.
Thank you.
Farhan has been doing some exploring of graphic art work around Rochdale and picked some of his favourites.
Brilliant!
On Wednesday 12th February, year 2 will be having an exciting workshop in school linked to their Great Fire Of London topic. This will be a half day, practical, outdoors workshop, exploring learning linked to this topic.
This is a great opportunity for the children, and more information will be sent nearer the time about clothing for this day. School will be subsiding this, but we would appreciate it if you could make a voluntary contribution of £3. This can be done on parent mail by going to parent mail/shop/payments.
The last reading workshop this half term will be as follows:
· Monday 10th February 2.30pm- Year 1
Tea/Coffee will be provided.
We look forward to seeing you there!
In year 4, our topic this term has been The Romans. The children have really enjoyed exploring who The Romans were, why they invaded Britain and how they were so successful. Some of the children brought in fantastic pieces of homework which they enjoyed sharing with the rest of the year group.
In science this term, our topic has been electricity. The children have learnt how to assemble circuits, and have been learning through games linked to the topic. We have also explored the difference between conductors and insulators during practical science lessons.
In DT, the children have been learning about seasonal foods, and will be making their own seasonal salads. They have enjoyed tasting different foods in order to decide what to include in their own.
