Year 6 SATS will be taking place week commencing Monday 12th May.
We still have some spaces in the after school clubs, which are as follows:
· Tuesday– Reception and KS1
· Thursday– Reception and KS1
If you are interested then please email the school office: office@marlandhill.rochdale.sch.uk or ring 01706 647147.
You can come to reception with cash and book a place. Places are limited and are on a first come, first served basis.
There will be no after school clubs taking place next week due to parents meetings.
On Thursday 8th May, Year 4 will be having a visit from the Balestra Living History Project who will be doing a workshop named The Roman Britain Primary History Workshop. This is an exciting opportunity for the children.
On the day the children will be taking part in different workshops led by a Roman expert. They will have the chance to handle Roman artefacts and will be trained like Roman soldiers. The children will have the opportunity to use equipment to create different army formations. The children will also create an interactive timeline. This will be a full day workshop.
School will be subsiding this, but we would appreciate it if you could make a voluntary contribution of £4. This can be done on parent mail by going to parent mail/shop/payments.
Emails have now been sent out for nursery places for September 2025. We are now accepting late applications subject to availability. Thank you.
Year 3, 4 and 5 children are invited to go to Hollingworth Lake Water Activity Centre to take part in hour long sessions in kayaking and paddle boarding. The dates and times are as follows:

The cost of the visit is heavily subsided by school. We are asking for a voluntary contribution of £3, which is to be paid on Parent Mail by going to payments/shop. Please complete the consent form on Parent Mail, which can be found in the forms section.
