  • Parental Conduct

    Unfortunately there has been an increase in anti-social behaviour by a small number of parents on school grounds. Please can I remind all parents that such behaviour is not acceptable, particularly when children are around. Can I thank the vast number of parents who are supportive in the way they behave and speak when on school grounds.

     

  • Nursery Applications

    Our nursery is full at present, but we are now taking applications for September 2024, the deadline for this is the 31st of March 2024 and applications forms are available from the office.

     

  • Year 4 Linking Project Materials

    For the Year 4 linking project we will need children to start bringing into school the following items:

    · Plastic drink bottles, washed out (preferably with lids)

    · Plastic soap / hand gel dispensers, washed out (with pumps or lids preferably)

    · Plastic food containers, washed out (mushrooms, grapes and tomato packaging etc)

    · Plastic bags

    · Thin cardboard packaging (cereal, biscuits and tea boxes etc)

     

    Please can children bring them to the class teacher. Thank you for your continued support.

  • Weekly Attendance Winners

    This term, every week we will be looking at children’s attendance and all those children who have 100% attendance for the week will be put in to a draw to win 10 Dojos. There will be one random winner from each class.  To ensure your child is entered into this weekly draw, all you have to do is make sure they are in school on time every day.  Thank you for your continued support.

  • Meal Patterns

    A reminder  that meal patterns are set per half term and cannot be swapped or changed in-between. If you wish for your child’s meal pattern to change after February half term then you must email the school : office@marlandhill.rochdale.sch.uk no later than Thursday 15th February.

    Well done to our brilliant Dodgeball Team at Marland Hill who played very well in the tournament this week and came 5th overall.

  • Reading Workshops

    Fri 09 Feb 2024

    This term the reading workshops will be as follows:

     

    · Tuesday  27th February -

    Year 4

     

    Sessions will run 9am-9.30am. Tea/coffee will be provided. As a school, we are working on promoting a love of reading and it would be great to have parents as positive reading role models for the children. We hope to see as many parents as possible.
