What an exciting day we had in nursery when the farm came to visit us this week. We had a go at milking a cow, spent time stroking the sheep and using our senses to explore different things you can find on a farm. We learnt about all the different animals on the farm and all the jobs that need to be done. A big thank you to Alison and Farmer Philip for coming to nursery.
A polite reminder to ensure your child brings their water bottle into school with their name clearly labelled. No juice is allowed, just water.
Thank you.
A reminder for children to please not bring in their own footballs into school. Thank you.
This week in English, Year 6 have been looking at persuasive writing. The children were split into groups and each given an endangered animal. Their task was to persuade Mrs Pridgeon that their animal was the one that should be adopted by the class. All the children worked extremely hard on researching their animals and producing persuasive posters and speeches.
Mrs Pridgeon found it a very hard task to judge but the winners were:
Miss Bingham's class— the rhino group
Miss Moulton’s class – the rhino group
On Sunday Charlie attended Rochdale’s remembrance parade with cubs, well done Charlie!
Thank you to all who have donated– we will share the total donation soon.
Thank you.
