• Sports Day: Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2

  Nursery, Reception, and KS1 Sports Day will be taking place on Thursday 14th July The sessions are:

  Morning– 10am-11am

  Afternoon– 1.30pm-2.30pm

  A Parentmail has been sent to you via email to let you know which is your child’s session so please read the letter. Please ensure your child comes in their PE kit and trainers and brings a water bottle in with them. Due to safeguarding reasons no photos and videos are allowed. Thank you.

   

• Key Stage 2 Sports Day

  Well Done to the Green Team who won the overall KS2 Sports Day!  The children took part in sprinting, egg and spoon races, skipping races, bean bag races, relay races and a football dribble race. Thank you to all parents who attended, thank you for your continuing support.

  Those children who will be going into Year 3 in September will need to start paying for school dinners, unless you are entitled to benefit related school meals. If you think you may be entitled then you can pick a form from the school office. Thank you.

• Weekly 100% Attendance

  This term, every week we will be looking at children’s attendance and all those children who have 100% attendance for the week will be put in to a draw to win 10 Dojos.  There will be one random winner from each class.  To ensure your child is entered into this weekly draw, all you have to do is make sure they are in school on time every day.  Thank you for your continued support. • Music Tuition from September 22

  From September we are planning to offer the chance for children in Year 3-6 to learn flute and/or a brass instrument.  These would be 45 minute lessons provided by a tutor from Rochdale Music Service, costing £2 per lesson.  If you would be interested in booking a place, please forward your expression of interest to office@marlandhill.rochdale.sch.uk stating your child’s name and year group and whether you would prefer flutes or a  brass instrument.  At this stage we will look at the level of interest from parents before final confirmation.  Thanks.
