• Data Collection Reminder

  A polite reminder to please ensure that you have returned your child’s completed and signed data collection sheet to school with your child. School cannot release children to adults who are not on your child’s pick up list. Thank you for your continued support.

   

• Meal Patterns and New Menu

  A reminder that meal patterns are set per half term and you cannot swap or change in-between. The new menu for next half term is now available to view on the school website.

   

• After School Clubs

  After School Clubs this half term days are as follows:

   

  Monday	Year 3 and 4
  Tuesday	KS2
  Thursday	Year 1 and 2
  Friday	Year 5 and 6

   

  Places can be booked and paid for on Parentmail and this is a first come first served basis.

   

   

• PE Timetable Changes for Miss Bingham's Class and Miss Tudor's Class

  Miss Bingham’s class will be doing PE every Thursday and Miss Tudor's class will do PE every Tuesday. Please ensure your child comes into school in their PE kit on these days and they have a water bottle in school.

   

• Year 2 SATS Evening After School

  Year 2 parents/carers are invited to attend a Year 2 SATS Information session on Tuesday 1st November 3pm-3.30pm. Parents/carers to  email school: office@marlandhill.rochdale.sch.uk if they wish to attend. Parents/carers to come to the normal Year 2 doors to attend. Thank you.

   

• Parent's Meetings

  This year we will be doing parent meetings slightly differently to the ways we have done previously. Many of you will be pleased to know we are now back to face to face meetings, although School Cloud will still be used for booking appointments. All  meetings will be held in the hall, and each appointment will last no longer than 10 minutes. We will need to keep to these timings to avoid running over. Teachers will be sat around the outside of the hall, with seating for parents in the middle whilst waiting for their appointment time. The dates are as follows:

  Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2:

  Monday 7^th November and Tuesday 8^th November.

   

  Year 3, 4, 5 and 6: Wednesday 9^th November and Thursday 10^th November

• EYFS Information Session

  Thanks to all the parents that came along to our Reception Parent Information Session yesterday to meet with the staff and to look around the learning areas.  It was lovely to meet you all and thank you for all the positive comments that were uploaded to Tapestry! 

   

• Parking around school

  We ask parents and carers to park responsibly at pick up and drop off time please.  We ask especially that you do not block our neighbours’ driveways and make sure that you are parked legally. The Rochdale parking camera car visits school occasionally at drop of and pick yp times and fines are issued to cars parked illegally.

• Cross Country and Archery Events

  On Wednesday, some of our children from KS2 took part in the cross country  event at Falinge Park High School, competing against other schools in the borough. They did an amazing job of representing our school and had fun in the process! Well done to everyone who took part.

  Jayden attended a Karate Championships this week and won two medals: Bronze was for Kata and Silver was for Kumite .
