The children have been completing lots of different activities that are linked to Winter. We have also been looking at other places in the world that have cold weather, the children have really enjoyed exploring our North Pole role play area.

In maths the children continue to work on their mastering number, they have been learning how to match numerals to quantities, ordering numbers and understanding the composition of a number. The children enjoy using the Numberblocks characters to help them to understand these

As part of their History topic, Year 4 will be having a visit from the Balestra Living History Project who will be doing a workshop named: The Roman Britain  Primary History workshop. This will take place on Tuesday 10th February. This is an exciting        opportunity for the children.

On the day the children will be taking part in different workshops led by a Roman expert. They will have the chance to handle Roman artefacts and will be trained like Roman soldiers. The children will have the opportunity to use equipment to create different army formations. The children will also create an  interactive timeline. This will be a full day workshop. For more information please visit: www.romanschoolworkshop.co.uk

School will be heavily subsiding the cost, we are asking for a voluntary contribution of £4. You can pay for this on parent mail by going to payments/shop.

  • Eco Shop

    Fri 16 Jan 2026

Happy New Year!  We hope you have some empty containers  ready to refill as we are looking forward to seeing you at our next eco shop on Tuesday 27th January in the dance and drama room (next to the year 5 doors).

We use too much plastic, and we’ve opened our refill shop to help everyone to use less.

It’s important to use less plastic because it is very    polluting when it’s being made, and it’s really hard to dispose of.

Some plastic is recycled but too much gets burned, or put into landfill, or just left, and it harms animals and fish.

We want to do what we can to reduce our plastic waste, which is why we’re running our shop.

Please remember it is CASH ONLY! We would really appreciate it if you could bring the correct change where possible. The price list is below:

Cucumber & Aloe Vera Hand Wash £2.25

Apple Orchard Washing Up Liquid £1.50

Pink Grapefruit & Aloe Vera Body Wash £2.80

    Nourishing Coconut Body Wash £2.80

Pink Grapefruit & Aloe Vera Hair Shampoo £2.80

Pink Grapefruit & Aloe Vera Hair Conditioner £2.50

    Thanks,

    School Council
