  • Playground Supervision

    Please can I ask for your support and remind you about the need to supervise your children in the playground before and after school. Year 6s with permission to walk home alone after school should also be leaving the school grounds straight away at the end of the day to go home, and not waiting around. Thank you.

     

  • A trip to the post office

    As part of the HI Base Topic work on ‘houses and homes’ the children have been learning all about where they live, their houses and also their addresses. This week, the children in the HIRB all went on a local area walk to observe houses in the local area. We then visited the post office, bought our own stamp and posted a letter home. The children are looking forward to receiving their letters this week!

  • Dodgeball Tournament

    Our Dodgeball Team won this week at the dodgeball tournament! It was very close and went to sudden death. Congratulations to the team who were awarded their medals.

     

  • Reading workshop

    Fri 17 Feb 2023

    Following the success of this term’s workshops we will be inviting parents in again this term to promote the benefits of positive reading with your child. Parents/carers are invited to attend, tea/coffee will be provided. The dates are as follows:

     

    · Monday 27th Feb – Year 6

    · Monday 6th March – RANs drop in session

    · Monday 13th Match – Year 5

    · Monday 20th March Year 4

    · Monday 27th March Year 3

     

    Sessions will run 9.00am-9.30am.

    As a school, we are working on promoting a love of reading and it would be great to have parents as positive reading role models for the children. We hope to see as many parents as possible.

     

  • Safety Week

    For Safety Week Year 5 took part in some basic First Aid training. They looked at what you would do if someone was experiencing severe bleeding. First, we looked at bandaging the wound and then we put the wounded arm in a sling. Everyone worked well to help their injured patients and learnt some important new skills.

     

  • Important Reading Informaton

    A polite reminder that we need the children to be reading at home at least 3 times a week and getting their reading records signed to reflect this. Thank you to those who are already doing this.

     

  • Weekly 100% Attendance Awards

    Fri 17 Feb 2023

    This term, every week we will be looking at children’s attendance and all those children who have 100% attendance for the week will be put in to a draw to win 10 Dojos. There will be one random winner from each class.  To ensure your child is entered into this weekly draw, all you have to do is make sure they are in school on time every day.  Thank you for your continued support.

  • School Choir

    We now have space in the school choir for any children from Year 3 upwards should they wish to join. Practice is every Thursday after school until 3.50pm. Please book your child’s free place via the shop section on Parent mail.
