Please note that we do have Calpol in school to administer to children who may be poorly or in pain, however this is only in cases of emergency and cannot be given routinely. We would advise that if you know your child needs pain relief, where possible, please give your child some before school time or leave some at the office and we will label.
If your child is unwell during the school day, we will call you to discuss further.
Thank you for your support with this matter.
Well done to Ayat and Zainab for being chosen as Breakfast Club Superstars!
Here are some photos from this week.
Reading workshops this half term will be as follows:
· Friday 13th February – Year 1
They will be taking place in the school hall 2.30pm-3pm.
Tea/Coffee will be provided.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Year 5, Year 3 and Year 2 will be rescheduled for after half term.
Year 1 have had a great start to spring term and have been working really hard. We have been busy rewriting the story How to Catch a Star by our class author Oliver Jeffers and learning how to use personal pronouns.
We have continued our work with phonics and now you should be able to access phonics videos at home by scanning the QR code in your children’s reading record, this will support your child’s learning and links to what they have been doing at school.
In maths, we have been focussing on numbers to 20 and have been using addition and subtraction strategies. Our next unit is focusing on numbers to 50!
As a part of our art topic, we have been learning all about Alan Bean and creating art work in his style.
At Marland Hill, we are learning a new sign every week. Why not learn with us at home too!
Every week children that display good manners are chosen to sit at the Captain’s Table for dinner. Well done to the following children that have been selected to sit at the Captain’s Table.
