  • Year Group Focus—Year 4

    Fri 04 Apr 2025

This week, 4A hosted their linking class from St Luke’s primary school. Both classes took part in many different activities. Artists from Touchstones led workshops where children were given the opportunity to design masks and write poems. 4B’s linking class will be visiting them after the holidays!

In art, year 4 have been sketching different physical features in Rochdale. Some children have sketched the town hall, whereas others have sketched the 7 sisters. They have then printed their sketches onto a sunset background!  Very funky! We are looking forward to seeing the town hall when we go for our local area walk next term!

On Wednesday, Year 4 also enjoyed their Eid party. We have loved seeing everyone in their best clothes enjoying the different party games.

In science, year 4 have been learning all about the digestive system and have made a model to present this using tights, bananas and a plastic bag!
