Please can we ask our parents and carers to make sure that dinner money is paid up to date by the end of the term. If you do not know how much you owe, please contact the school office for help. From September 2019, there will be a slight increase in the cost of a school meal by 5p, to £2.20 per day. Thank you for your
co-operation.
Following our Summer Fair at the end of the last half term, we are pleased to announce we made a total of £602.05! Thank you to all our parents who came along, and to our PTA for working hard to arrange the event. Thanks also to staff who managed the stalls on the day. We hope you all enjoyed it and once again well done to all our raffle winners!

Please may we remind parents of our Year 6 children, that Tuesday 2nd July is ‘transition to high school’ day for most of the children, however, children moving to schools outside of Rochdale may have different transition days. Please contact your chosen school to find out if you have not received notification from them. Children should make their own way to their high school in the morning (do not come to Marland Hill for registration that day). They must wear their Marland Hill uniform and parents must ensure they are able to get home safely at the end of the day. Children not attending their high school transition day on 2nd July must attend Marland Hill as normal.
On Monday 1st July, there are parents meetings in the evening at both Oulder Hill High School and Matthew Moss High School. Parents should have received invitations from the high schools themselves. Please check your chosen high school’s website for more information. We hope you all enjoy your transition days Year 6!
On Tuesday 25th June we will be hosting a French themed day in school. Children are invited to wear clothes in the colours of the French flag, red,/white/blue.. We will have a French themed menu at lunchtime and all children will take part in French themed activities throughout the day. Please contact the school office or Mrs Rathbone if you have any queries. We look forward to seeing some colourful outfits! Please note: If your child attends Nursery in the mornings, they will be going to Ainsdale Beach that day, and must wear school uniform. Please do not send them in ordinary clothes. Children who attend afternoon nursery, can take part in the French day along with the rest of the school
