World book day is taking place on Thursday 7th March. More information to follow through Parentmail.
This term, every week we will be looking at children’s attendance and all those children who have 100% attendance for the week will be put in to a draw to win 10 Dojos. There will be one random winner from each class. To ensure your child is entered into this weekly draw, all you have to do is make sure they are in school on time every day. Thank you for your continued support.

Thank you.
Here are some of the winners from the story telling competition – everyone received a prize. Fantastic!
This term the reading workshops will be as follows:
· Tuesday 27th February -
Year 4
Sessions will run 9am-9.30am. Tea/coffee will be provided. As a school, we are working on promoting a love of reading and it would be great to have parents as positive reading role models for the children. We hope to see as many parents as possible.
Literacy
This half term we have been learning about people who help us. We have learnt about Doctors, Police Officers, Dentists and Vets. We have enjoyed dressing up as doctors and dentists and treating the other children in Nursery who were poorly. We also enjoyed being police officers especially when our home corner was broken in to and we had to take everyone’s finger prints to see who had stolen our microwave. Well done to all the children who worked out it was Mrs Foster!
Maths
This half term we having been learning about numbers from 3 to 5. We have learnt lots of new songs, we especially like the song about Pete the cat and his 4 groovy buttons. We have taken part in lots of activities to help us with our counting like skittles and bean bag throwing. Some children have been doing some activities at home and have been putting them on Tapestry for us all to see which is fantastic.
This morning Year 1 had a visit from some cuddly visitors, to fit in with their learning in English. Ronnie and Reggie the rabbits and Boris the guinea pig came to visit the children. The children had prepared some questions to ask Lauren (who had brought the pets into school.) The children loved handling the pets and finding out about the diet and habits of rabbits and guinea pigs. Next week they will do some writing about how to look after a rabbit or a guinea pig.
Every week during PE, Coach Liam will be choosing pupils to be his PE superstars of the week. Well done to the following children who were fantastic in PE last week:
