• Summer Fair/Eid Fair

  We would like to thank all our parents/carers and families for attending the Eid/Summer Fair on Thursday 20^th June. The event was very well attended and a huge success. Everyone enjoyed taking part in games such as Splat the Rat, Ball Throw, Toss the Coin, Play Your Cards Right, Name the Teddy, Lucky Dip and Spin to Win a Bottle.

   

  Our Chocolate and Variety Tombolas were as popular as ever. Coach Liam from EdStart provided a fun game of ​ Jag Tag for free and the ice cream van attended and was very busy! Lots of families enjoyed the face painting, glitter tattoos, nail painting, mehndi and henna tattoos. Some families were lucky enough to win a prize on our fantastic raffle. We look forward to our next fundraising event in the autumn term.  More information to follow next week.

   

• Reading Mornings

  This term the reading workshops will be as follows:

  · 9th July - Reception

  · 16th July - Nursery

   

  Sessions will run 9am-9.30am. Tea/coffee will be provided. As a school, we are working on promoting a love of reading and it would be great to have parents as positive reading role models for the children. We hope to see as many parents as possible.

• Starbook Reader - Winners!

• Year 4 ‘Magic Flute’

  Year 4 have been invited to perform in the ‘The Magic Flute’ on Wednesday 3^rd July in the afternoon. This will take place at the Curtain Theatre in Rochdale.

   

  Parents are able to attend and will need to book their tickets through try booking, more information has been sent separately on parent mail about this.

• Year 6 Bowling

  Fri 21 Jun 2024

  Year 6 will be going bowling at Sandbrook Park on Friday 5th July. Children will be going in the afternoon after they have had their lunch in school.

   

   Children will be walking to and from the venue with members of staff from school. Children will be back at their normal finish time. This visit will be fully subsidised by school so parental contributions will not be required’

• Sports Day

  This year, weather permitting, our sports days will be on the following dates and times:

   

  · Years 1 & 2        Tuesday 25^th June – 1.30pm-2.30pm

   

  · Years 5 & 6        Wednesday 26^th June – 1.30pm-2.30pm

   

  · Years 3 & 4        Thursday 27^th June – 1:30pm to 2:30pm

   

  · Reception        Friday 28^th June – 1.30pm-2.30pm

   

  · Morning Nursery      Friday 28^th June – 9.30am-10.30am

  · Afternoon Nursery      Friday 28^th June – 1.30pm-2.30pm

   

  Your child will need to come to school on their Sports Day, in addition to their PE day, in their outdoor PE kit, including trainers. If the weather is still hot, please ensure your child has sun cream on (to be applied at home before the start of school), a hat and a water bottle.

   

  

• Year 6 Leavers Disco

  Fri 21 Jun 2024

  On Tuesday 16^th July, we will be holding our annual Year 6 Leavers’ Disco.  It will take place from 5.30pm – 7.30pm and will include a buffet and disco.  As this is a special event, your child will need to be dressed smartly.

   

  Due to the Disco finishing late, all children will need to be collected by an adult (18 years old or over) at 7.30pm prompt. The cost of the event is £5.00 to help to pay for the disco and food.

   

  Please go to Parent Mail to complete the consent form (which can be found in the forms section) and please go to the payment section to purchase your child’s ticket. Tickets are £5 per child.
