Every Friday in Breakfast Club our children get the opportunity to perform in the hall in front of their friends.
As you will see we have some stars in the making at Marland Hill!
Our Year 2 children had a fabulous visit from Hawks R Us this afternoon.
The children got to see some fantastic Owls and learnt about some of the wonderful Owls that live around them. They learnt about their habitat and the difference between nocturnal and diurnal owls, diet and behaviour.
Some of the smaller birds could even fly around our school hall and lots of children got he chance to hold them!
They learnt about nocturnal animals and how they service at night.
We look forward to seeing some wonderful work around this topic!
Netball Match - January 2016
Our netball team played a netball match against Spotland school at Marland Hill after school on Tuesday. Well done to Marland Hill for winning 11-0 over the matches they played. The whole team played brilliantly. Mr Pauley and the rest of the staff are really proud of you.
In December a number of our young musicians performed at the Rochdale Council "Christmas Cracker" performance.
The children were absolutely superb and we were delighted to receive such a wonderful letter from Gillian Barratt - Head of Schools.
Well done!
I would like to share with you all a couple of the wonderful thank you letters I have recenetly received from some of our children at Marland Hill!
It is lovely to receive such lovely letters and I am very pleased you all had such a wonderful time!

Our Year 5 classes visited Airkix Manchester last week to take part in a Science workshop! All the children, and the staff, had the opportunity to take part in indoor skydiving!
Airkix contacted the school to say:
"We host many Schools & Academies at our facility, but I was particularly impressed with the outstanding behaviour of your group.
All of the children were a delight to work with and I was impressed not only by the polite and diligent approach that they took to the team challenge of building wind powered vehicles, but also the intelligent responses and feedback given during the ‘science-based’ elements of the workshop itself.
They are a credit to Marland Hill and a fabulous representation of your School"
What fabulous feedback!
All of our children from Reception to Year 6 had the wonderful opportunity to go to Middleton Arena to watch a Pantomime - Peter Pan.
The trip was funding by school and was a great chance fro all of our children to experience a live show.
