Our Reception classes went to visit Smithills Farm in Bolton on Monday 14th May. They had a fantastic time. Children went on the tractor, had a donkey ride and fed the animals. They learnt a lot about all the animals.
Thank you to everyone who came to the PTA cake sale last Friday and thank you to our PTA for organising the event.
The PTA raised a fantastic £115 and the cakes sold out! The money raised will buy goods for Eid/Summer Fair on Wednesday 13th June
To celebrate the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle we will be having a non-uniform day on Friday 18th May. Children are welcome to come in their own clothes. We encourage children to wear the colours of Red, White and Blue to symbolise the British Flag.

Year 2 will be undertaking their SATs examinations from Monday 21st May to Friday 25th May.
As you know, this is an important time for Year 2 children who have all been working very hard throughout the year and will continue to do so to build upon learning in preparation for their SATS.
It would be greatly appreciated if you can continue to support us by making sure that all children are in school every day and on time to encourage them to achieve their maximum potential. Thank you for your continued support.
On Friday 25th May Year 3 will be having a Poetry Assembly and a Poetry Workshop. The author Craig Bradley will be coming into school and performing some of his poetry to the children.
Craig will have signed copies of his books for sale after the workshops. If you would like your child to purchase any books, please send them into school with £5.99 for one book or £10 for two books.
We have Thrive parents workshops in school on Wednesday 23rd May from 1.45-2.45pm. Thrive is for children and young people aged up to 19 years. Thrive can also provide advice and support to parents, carers and anyone that works with a child or young person. Please come along to find out more.
Our Eid and Summer Fair will be on Wednesday 13th June at 3pm. We will be having a variety of stalls and games.
We will be having non uniform days when donations of chocolate or bottles can be brought in for not wearing uniform. These are on the following dates:

lemonade etc
We’d like to remind parents that next week, week commencing Monday 14th May, is SATs week for Year 6 children. As you know this is a very important week for them. Please ensure that they are best prepared by having early nights and healthy meals in preparation. Year 6 children can attend Breakfast Club during SATs week free of charge. Children should be at Breakfast Club for 8.00am and breakfast will be provided free of charge.
If there are any problems with your child attending school at any point during SATs week you must let the office know as soon as possible.
Please note there will be no tuck shop on Monday - Thursday next week due to SATs. Tuck shop will be back on Friday 18th May.
