Go4It - Link for Life
Mon 25 Mar 2019Please see below, the Link4Life offer for children and young people for this Easter half term. Link4Life strive to get children as active, creative and healthy as possible all whilst having as much fun as possible. This year the Go4It team are also working with Touchstones to bring children the most exciting and creative half term possible, the theme for Easter is Dragons and Knights. Singing Assembly

Year 3 Linking Project
Fri 22 Mar 2019Our Year 3 classes are taking part in a Linking Project with Alkrington Primary School in Middleton. Some of the children from Alkrington Primary came in to see Miss Moulton’s class this week, whilst Mrs Hall’s class visited Alkrington Primary. Next week Miss Moulton’s class will visit Alkrington and the children from Alkrington will come and visit Mrs Hall’s class

Collection of Children
Fri 22 Mar 2019Please note that only those on your child’s pick up list will be able to collect your child. If there is a temporary change to the collection of your child you must inform the school office so we can pass this information on to classes.
If you wish to add someone on to the pick up list, you must come and fill in a form at the school office.
Please be aware that as part of our school policy, as agreed by governors, only adults (aged 18 or over) are allowed to collect children from school. Anyone under 18 will not be allowed to collect.

Marland Hill Musical Events!
Fri 22 Mar 2019On Tuesday 26th March we are hosting our Musical Evening for Key Stage 2. Letters have been sent home with your children. Please ensure you return the reply slip as soon as possible so your child can come back to school and perform. Tickets are available from the school office. There are 2 per family initially and if there are any spares will we let parents know.
On Friday 29th March Miss Ashraf’s Year 5 class are taking part in Rochdale Sings at the Town Hall in Rochdale. Please ensure you return the permission slip so your child can attend. Thank you.

Touchstones Visit - Art Award Students
Fri 22 Mar 2019Mrs Hurst’s Art Club went to visit Touchstones on Thursday 21st March. They took part in ‘A Postcard from Rochdale’ workshop, a tour of the local history museum and viewing a selected art exhibition.

PTA Easter Raffle!
Thu 21 Mar 2019Over the last few weeks, the PTA have been busy organising our Easter raffle & agreeing dates of future events & meeting with Mrs Cunningham, to help raise more money for our children. If you have any questions or ideas you would like to discuss please join us for a cuppa and a biscuit (or two!) on Tuesday mornings at 9am, in the school meeting room. Please note there will not be a meeting on Tuesday 26th March, due to our parents meetings.
Our Easter raffle tickets will be available from Monday 25th March, for 20p each. These can be purchased from our tuck shop each morning. Please note that children in Early Years and Key Stage 1 can also buy tickets. If they bring money in to their class teacher we will send a ticket/s back to class. Our prizes are pictured here. Thank you to the PTA for organising!

Comic Relief Day

Thank you to everybody for their donations to Comic Relief today. We will let you know the total raised as soon as possible. The children looked amazing in their 'red' outfits in assembly this morning. What a marvellous effort.
