• Colouring Competition!

  Your children will be bringing home a colouring sheet this week.  We are hoping as many children as possible will take part in a 'design a rugby ball' competition, which has been organised by the Rochdale Hornets!  There are some fabulous prizes to be won, and the more entries we receive, the more chance we have of winning a prize for our school!  The closing date for entries is Wednesday 12th December, so please return all entries to school by 9am that day, to ensure we can submit them in time.  Good luck everybody. Lets get creative!

  

• Admissions Workshop (Reception class Sept 2019)

  On Wednesday 12th December we will be holding another admissions workshop.  This time for parents of children who are due to start school in September 2019.  The deadline for Reception class admissions is 15th January 2019, and all applications to Rochdale Council should be submitted online.  If you need any help with this process, please drop by next Wednesday at 2pm, where staff will be on hand to guide you through the online system, and offer advice and support regarding your child's admission to primary school. Please feel free to call in, no appointment is needed.

• Celebration Assembly

  Congratulations to our superstar children Hamza Sakib, Phelim Stobo, Zaid Anwar and Aahad Ali, who all received awards today in a special assembly, attended by some very proud parents!

• Middleton Arena

  This week we went to Middleton Arena to watch the Pantomime 'Aladdin'.  Some of the children were  lucky (and brave) enough to take part!  Lost of fun was had by all.  

  

• Story Magic

  On Friday 30th November we had a visit from the Story Magic theatre group, who came in to perform Aladdin to our younger children in the Nursery and Reception classes, who all enjoyed watching the show!

  

• IPLCN Football Champions!

  Well done to our superb football team who competed in the IPLCN football competition at the Soccer Factory this week, and brought home the trophy!  Here they are looking super pleased with themselves as they should be!  Well done to all those who took part.

  

• Christmas Dinner / Christmas Jumper Day

  This year’s Christmas Jumper /Christmas Dinner Day will be held on Thursday 20th Dec. If your child would like to order a Christmas dinner, please send £2.15 into the school office by 14th December. We look forward to seeing some very festive jumpers!

   

  

• Reading University

  The Inspirational Reading University launch for selected Year 4 children was held on Tues 27th Nov at Number One Riverside. This was the first time the participating schools met and shared a book. We are looking forward to sharing more books, and poems and working together in the future!

   

  

• Community Cohesion

  Our group of Community Cohesion children went to Rochdale Sixth Form College on Tuesday to have a look around. They had a fantastic time with other pupils from Hamer school and the college students.

   

  

• EYFS Christmas Concert

  This year our Nursery and Reception classes will be performing ‘Say Hello To Little Jo’ for their Christmas Concerts. They will be performing to parents on Tuesday 11th December at 1:30pm and Wednesday 12th December at 9:30am.   The children and staff have worked extremely hard and we look forward to welcoming our parents and carers to the show. We hope you enjoy it!
