Over the last few weeks, the PTA have been busy organising our Easter raffle & agreeing dates of future events & meeting with Mrs Cunningham, to help raise more money for our children. If you have any questions or ideas you would like to discuss please join us for a cuppa and a biscuit (or two!) on Tuesday mornings at 9am, in the school meeting room. Please note there will not be a meeting on Tuesday 26th March, due to our parents meetings.
Our Easter raffle tickets will be available from Monday 25th March, for 20p each. These can be purchased from our tuck shop each morning. Please note that children in Early Years and Key Stage 1 can also buy tickets. If they bring money in to their class teacher we will send a ticket/s back to class. Our prizes are pictured here. Thank you to the PTA for organising!
** Update**
£296 was raised in total. Thank you everybody!
Thank you to everybody for their donations to Comic Relief today. We will let you know the total raised as soon as possible. The children looked amazing in their 'red' outfits in assembly this morning. What a marvellous effort.
This week was our School Safety week. Our Y6 children visited the Crucial Crew. A team of multi-agency representatives who taught our children about topics such as first aid, road safety, and the dangers of drugs, crime, vandalism, and water safety. We also had a visit from our local fire brigade, who kindly took some time out to visit our children and talk to them about fire safety.
In October 2018 we introduced new rules for mobile phones in school Only our Year 6 children with permission to walk to and from school are allowed to bring a phone to school if you deem it necessary. On arrival at school, all phones must be handed into the office immediately, and can be only collected at home time. Any child found in possession of a mobile phone, will have it confiscated. Parents/carers will be contacted and asked to collect it in person.
We have received a number of complaints from local residents regarding parking around school recently. Please can parents be mindful about parking around school. Please ensure that you do not block driveways, you must not park on the zigzags or double yellow lines. Also please do not park on pavements as this can hinder access for emergency vehicles that may need to respond to emergency calls. Please help us to keep our children and the community safe. Thank you for your co-operation.

It is very important that your child is in school on these weeks and the weeks prior to this. Your child has been working very hard throughout their school life and their work is reflected in the assessments they undergo during these weeks.
Parents were invited today to watch their children receive special awards in our Celebration Assembly! Well done to the following children:
Foundation Stage: Minahil Bajwa for having a fantastic attitude in everything she does.
Key Stage 1: Sofia Hardy for making fantastic progress in her learning.
Lower Key Stage 2: Arham Waqas for always trying his best and having a positive attitude to his learning.
Upper Key Stage 2: Zayan Ghulam for her hard work and progress in both Maths & English.
Please see our Celebration Assembly website page for details of their achievements and our video!
On Tuesday 26th February, our second group talented musicians attended the Rochdale Music Festival at Rochdale Town Hall. They were all incredibly brave playing to an audience and we were very proud of them. They performed brilliantly.
On Wednesday 6th March some of our children attended the IPLCN Dance Festival at Hamer Primary School. The children performed beautifully and enjoyed the experience.
