  • Latest information regarding school re-opening

    Fri 12 Jun 2020

School continues to be open as normal to vulnerable children and those of key workers.

In addition, next week, we will be welcoming more pupils back to school from families where parents have confirmed their child’s attendance.

This week, letters have been posted on our 'Letters Home' page with more information about the return to school for our Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 children.  Please read these letters and ensure you are aware of start times, closing times and all other arrangements.  Hopefully we have provided some clarity and reassurance about the new school routine for your children.

Staff have been contacting all Year 6 parents to confirm how many children will be returning to school this week, and next week Year 1 and Reception parents will also be contacted by telephone so we are able to confirm an exact number. Please check your phones regularly for missed calls and texts and keep checking the website for updates.  Thank you for all your support during this difficult time.  If you have any concerns about your child returning to school, please raise these with our staff when they contact you this week.

“Hello to you all. I hope you are all safe and well. All the staff in the base miss you very much, we can’t wait to see you all soon. I hope you have used your time off to learn/play with your family, or perhaps used your forest school skills to explore/investigate outdoors during the lovely weather.  We are all looking forward to laughing, learning and sharing stories altogether once again. Take care from all the HIRB staff.”
