At our last parent drop in, many parents expressed an interest in becoming more involved with school life. If you are interested in becoming part of the PTA, please do attend.
Well done to all our girls who participated in the above competition on Thursday 1st February. the children had an amazing time and came away as champions. The children were a huge credit to the school. Well done girls!
Our UKS2 children got through to the finals of the Under 11s Rochdale Schools competition. Of the 64 schools that entered, Marland Hill got through to the final 5. Well done to them!
We are running a workshop on Tuesday 6th February in the school hall at 2:30pm to 3:00pm, to advise parents about how to use the internet safely. All parents are welcome to attend, however, children are asked not to attend due to the content of the workshop.
Well done to the UKS2 football team for finishing runners-up in the IPLCN football competition. The children were fantastic and lost in the final on sudden death penalties.
There will be a performance of Eddie The Penguin for Year 1 & 2 parents on Tuesday 6th Feb at 6:30pm and Wednesday 7th Feb at 1:30pm. Children need to be back at school for 6pm for the evening performance. Tickets are free and are available from the school office on a first come first served basis. A maximum of two tickets per family will be allocated. We look forward to seeing you there!
If you have given permission for your child to attend the Young Voices Concert the children will return to school at approximately 10pm. Please collect them promptly from the front of the school. Children are required to bring a packed tea, snacks and suitable drinks for throughout the day. Please do not send your child with any cooked food, fizzy drinks, sweets or chocolates. Children will not be allowed to walk home un-accompanied.
Our Community Cohesion Ambassadors spent the day at Rochdale Sixth Form College on Tuesday. They worked in partnership with their peers at Hamer Primary School and students from the college on tasks linked to aspiration and creating a vision for Rochdale for the future. Their engagement and behaviour was excellent. The children were a real credit to our school. Very well done!
