Thank you to everybody who attended our Musical assembly this morning, it was lovely to see so many of our families. Well done to all the children that performed in the assembly. You were all amazing!
Also well done to all the children that performed at the Opera Project you were all Brilliant!
As part of their Geography fieldwork studies, 4A went on a walk to Rochdale looking at human and physical geographical features in the local environment.
Miss Shabir’s class 4B will be going on Thursday 10th July.
On Monday, the HIRB had a visit from Joanne Smith, an advisory Teacher of the Deaf, who works at the Yorkshire Auditory Implant Service in Bradford.
The children completed a listening workshop, which focussed on labelling the different parts of the ear and discussing how sound travels through the ear. They talked about their cochlear processors, highlighting each part. Then, they used play-doh to create their processors and add these to their diagrams. Additionally, they spoke about their hearing loss and how it looks on an audiogram (a graph that shows the results of a hearing test).
School Council have created another handmade colouring book which is on sale. These are priced at £1 per booklet. If you wish to buy please give money to your child to give to their class teacher.
All proceeds will be going to Cancer Research.
Please support the children with their fundraising efforts

On Thursday 17th July, we will be holding our annual Year 6 Leavers’ Disco. It will take place from 5.30pm – 7.30pm and will include a buffet and Disco. As this is a special event, your child will need to be dressed smartly.
Due to the Disco finishing late, all children will need to be collected by an adult (18 years old or over) at 7.30pm prompt. The cost of the event is £5.00 to help to pay for the Disco and food.
This night will be very special for your child, as it celebrates the end of their time at primary school, and we hope all children will be able to attend.
Please go to Parent Mail to complete the consent form (which can be found in the forms section) and please go to the payment section to purchase your child’s ticket.
We are having a Leavers’ Assembly on Monday 21st July at 9.30am in the school hall. The assembly will last approximately one hour. All the Year 6 children will be taking part and we hope that you can join us.
We look forward to seeing you there, but please be aware that due to limited capacity in the hall, we are limited to two parents/carers per child.
Thank you for your support with this and we look forward to seeing you to celebrate our wonderful Year 6 children.
