  • Marland's Got Talent - Year 5 and 6

    Year 5 and Year 6 will be performing Marland’s Got Talent on Friday 29th June at 1.45pm and Wednesday 4th July at 6pm. If you wold like tickets for either performance please come to collect them from the school office. Unfortunately due to healthy and safety and the number of children performing,  there will only be 2 tickets per family available on a first come first served basis.

     

  • Induction Meeting for Parents of New Nursery and Reception Children

    Tue 12 Jun 2018

    Our induction meeting for the parents of new nursery and reception children will be on Thursday 21st June. You should have already received a letter detailing what time to come. Please note that this meeting is not suitable for children, please ensure you have adequate childcare if you are attending.

     

    If you cannot attend your information pack will be available to collect from the school office after this date.

     

    Please can parents of children starting in Reception in September ensure they have returned the contact form, free school meals form to the school office. Please also provide proof of your address and a copy of  child’s birth certificate. Thank you. 

     

  • Drop in with Mrs Cunningham

  • Celebration Assembly 8th June 2018

    The following children’s achievements were recognised in our Celebration Assembly this morning.

     

    EYFS: McKenzie Vickers for making incredible progress

     

    KS1: Tayab Shahid for working hard, being kind and polite and making massive amounts of progress over his time in Year 1

    Lower KS2: Aman Nadeem for fantastic work in Maths

     

    Upper KS2: Trevor Kijjambu for working hard in Maths

     

    We also celebrated the wonderful achievements of our musicians who received music trophy awards before half term. They performed a piece of music for everyone during assembly. Well done to:

  • Pirate Day

    Nursery and Reception had a brilliant day dressed as pirates on Wednesday. They started their topic work ‘the seaside’ and had a pirate picnic outside. We think they look Arrrrrrrrr-mazing! 

     

  • Community Cohesion

    Our Community Cohesion group have been considering all the work they have been doing around how to make Rochdale better, including Equality and Diversity. The children have brought their ideas together to make speeches for our final session at Rochdale Town Hall on 26th June. 

     

  • English Institute of Sport

    Four of our Pupils went on a PE visit to the English Institute of Sport on Monday 4th June. They took part in sporting activities including boxing and were lucky enough to have a tour of their facilities. 
  • Eid Fair

  • Music Trophy Awards

    Well done to the following pupils who received awards at yesterday Music Trophy Awards:

     

    Demi-Louise Charnley received The Arnold Wild Trophy for her Woodwind Solo. Urwa Javed and Megan Curtis both received the Cotter Trophy for their Recorder Duet.

     

    Megan Curtis also received The Bob Fell Trophy for Enthusiasm in playing the recorder. Fantastic girls, well done, we are really proud of you.

     

  • Year 1 Phonics Screening

    Our Year 1 classes are undertaking phonics screening week commencing 11th June in line with national expectations. It would be greatly appreciated if you can continue to support us by making sure that all children are in school every day and on time to encourage them to achieve their maximum potential
