  • Monster's Ball

    Our Monster's Ball will be on Halloween, Wednesday 31st October 2018. It starts at 6pm and finishes at 7.30pm. Tickets are available from the school office from Wednesday 3rd October at 8am. They are available on a first come first served basis and due to health and safety are in a limited number. Tickets cost £1 per person and there must be an adult attending the disco with the child/children (each adult also requires a ticket). Food will be available to purchase on the evening and there will be prizes for the best fancy dress. 

  • Litter Survey

    Our Year 4 classes went to do a litter survey outside on Thursday 27th September as part of their science topic. They found and catergorised the litter they found.
  • Forest School

    Some of our Reception children attended Forest School this week. They had a fantastic time exploring the area.  Forest School provides a way of meeting the curriculum in an outdoor environment in the local woodlands opposite the school. All our children will get the opportunity to visit our Forest School site over this academic year.  The activities we do help raise the children's self esteem, develop their confidence, independence,  language and communication skills.
  • Macmillan Coffee Morning

    On Friday 28th September we held our Macmillan coffee morning in the school hall, and again in the school playground in the afternoon.  Thank you to all our parents who joined in and came along.  Some beautiful cakes were on display that tasted equally beautiful!  Thank you to all our parents and staff who provided them.  It was a very successful event and we managed to raise a lot of money for this worthwhile cause (amount to be disclosed soon!). 
  • Winners of our Macmillan Colouring Competition!

    Well done to our winners (Miss Green's class and Mr Hudson's class), who brought in the most class entries for our competition last week.  They received free tuck shop on Friday for their efforts and all of the school entries were used as bunting to decorate our hall for the coffee morning we held on Friday morning.  Thank you to everyone who took part. Superb effort!
  • Pirate Day

    To launch the new pirate topic ‘Land Ahoy’ for the Autumn
    term, our Year 2 children came to school dressed as pirates yesterday.  The children (and our staff) looked wonderful!
     
  • School Photographs

    The school photographer will be in school to take individual photographs of your children on Monday 15th October 2018.  If your child has a sibling in school, a photo will also be taken of them together. We are unable to take photographs of other family members not attending the school.

  • Primary and Secondary Applications

    The online application process for Secondary School places for September 2019 is now open. Please access www.rochdale.gov.uk under school admissions. The deadline for applications is Wednesday 31st October. You will be able to apply online for a Primary School place from 1st October 2018. We will be arranging drop ins, however in the meantime, if you have any questions, please contact the school office.

     

    Please note there will be a High School Admission Workshop on Thursday 27th September at 2pm in school, should parents of our Year 6 children wish to attend for guidance on the admissions process.

     

  • Robinwood Year 6

    The Year 6 residential visit will be to the Robinwood Cross Lanes site in Wrexham and will take place from Wednesday 26th September to Friday 28th September. Please note that any balance remaining must be paid no later than Friday 21st September.

     

  • Macmillan Coffee Morning

    The PTA will be holding a coffee morning on Friday 28th September and this will be a non-uniform day with donations going towards Macmillan,

    Parents are invited to come along and support this great cause whilst enjoying a cake and a coffee!
