Rochdale Hornet's Colouring Competition
Wed 19 Dec 2018Thank you for all the fantastic entries into the Rochdale hornets colouring competition. We had three winners: Aizah Sohail won first prize winning a Hornets kit. Malaika Sohail and Riley Welsh Stott both won a rugby ball for their entries. Well done everyone!

A big Christmas thank you
Wed 19 Dec 2018We would like to say a big thank you to H Bells who donated chocolate selection boxes to us here at Marland Hill. We will be distributing these to children accordingly.

Lost Property
Fri 14 Dec 2018Our PTA will be holding a lost property stall in the school hall next Thursday 20th December. Please come along and have a rummage if your child has any missing items. We will need to dispose of anything not collected. Thank you.

Singing Around The Tree
Fri 14 Dec 2018Parents and carers are invited to join us next Friday 21st December for our annual 'Singing Around The Tree' event! Starting at 9:15am in the school hall, parents are welcome to join us in our festive singalong. Tickets are limited in number and are restricted to 2 per family. They will be available from the school office from Monday 17th December. We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible for our last celebration of 2018!

Christmas Fair
Fri 14 Dec 2018Our Christmas Fair was an outstanding success. The PTA worked tirelessly arranging and organising a superb event. The total amount raised will be published next week. Well done to our raffle winners who won some amazing prizes, and thank you to our parents and carers for all your donations of chocolate, bottles and toys for our stalls. We even had a visit from Santa to make the day complete! Thank you everybody for your fabulous support.

Colouring Competition!
Fri 07 Dec 2018Your children will be bringing home a colouring sheet this week. We are hoping as many children as possible will take part in a 'design a rugby ball' competition, which has been organised by the Rochdale Hornets! There are some fabulous prizes to be won, and the more entries we receive, the more chance we have of winning a prize for our school! The closing date for entries is Wednesday 12th December, so please return all entries to school by 9am that day, to ensure we can submit them in time. Good luck everybody. Lets get creative!

Admissions Workshop (Reception class Sept 2019)
Fri 07 Dec 2018On Wednesday 12th December we will be holding another admissions workshop. This time for parents of children who are due to start school in September 2019. The deadline for Reception class admissions is 15th January 2019, and all applications to Rochdale Council should be submitted online. If you need any help with this process, please drop by next Wednesday at 2pm, where staff will be on hand to guide you through the online system, and offer advice and support regarding your child's admission to primary school. Please feel free to call in, no appointment is needed. -
Celebration Assembly
Fri 07 Dec 2018Congratulations to our superstar children Hamza Sakib, Phelim Stobo, Zaid Anwar and Aahad Ali, who all received awards today in a special assembly, attended by some very proud parents!

Middleton Arena
Fri 07 Dec 2018This week we went to Middleton Arena to watch the Pantomime 'Aladdin'. Some of the children were lucky (and brave) enough to take part! Lost of fun was had by all.
