On Wednesday our Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children had their Sports Day. Lots of fun was had by all and the weather was beautiful. Well done to everybody for taking part.
On Monday our Year 5 and 6 children enjoyed their annual Sports Day. Luckily the weather stayed dry. Well done everybody for taking part.
Last Thursday our Year 1 children visited Neeli Mosque as part of their R.E. topic on ‘Special Places’. This week they visited St. Aidan’s Church. The children got to learn about the different faiths and practices along with a tour of the buildings and their facilities for worship.
Every week during PE Mr Hilton chooses pupils from each year group to be his PE superstars of the week. Mr Hilton has chosen the following children who were fantastic in PE last week: Well done everyone!

Our year 3 children enjoyed a visit to Smithhills Farm Park this week as part of their linking schools project. The children had a wonderful time, petting and feeding animals, including chicks, owls, goats and lambs. They also enjoyed donkey rides and a ride on the farmers truck!
This week we have a new winner. Abdul in Year 3, with a time of 0.48 seconds. Well done Abdul!

Following enquiries from parents, we would just like to confirm that next year’s year 6 residential trip to Kingswood in Yorkshire, will be held after their SATS tests, in June.
Our Nursery and Reception children enjoyed days out at the Beach this week. The weather may not have been brilliant, but they all had lots of fun!
We had our French Day on Tuesday and the children enjoyed fun activities with a French theme and tried croissants, baguettes and French cheese! At lunchtime the children had to read from a French Menu in the dinner hall, and practised their French greetings throughout the day. Our children at the beach even got involved, making sandcastles with French flags!
