The following children have been awarded ‘Star Reader’ and enjoyed going to the ‘Starbooks’ cafe in the library to enjoy a drink and a treat as their reward. Fantastic!

Every week during PE, Coach Kerrianne will be choosing pupils to be her PE superstars of the week. Well done to the following children who were fantastic in PE last week:

Monday: Year 3 and Year 4

Tuesday  KS2

Thursday: Year 1 and Year 2

Friday: Year 5 and Year 6

Sessions run 3.15pm-4.15pm. The cost is £13.

Following the success of our reading workshops, we will be inviting parents in again to promote the benefits of positive reading with your child.

Parents/carers are invited to attend, tea/coffee will be provided. The dates are as follows:

Tuesday 26^th September – Year 6

Tuesday 3^rd October – Year 5

Tuesday 10^th October – Year 4

Tuesday 17^th October – Year 3

Sessions will run 9.00am-9.30am.

As a school, we are working on promoting a love of reading and it would be great to have parents as positive reading role models for the children. We hope to see as many parents as possible.

A reminder that  we will be holding a McMillan coffee morning on Friday 29^th September at 9am. Please come to the foyer if you would like to join us.

We are asking for cake donations to be handed in to school office no later than Thursday 28th September please.

Tea and coffee will be provided.

All money raised from the 2 events will be split between 3 charities – Milly’s Smile, McMillan, and Springhill Hospice. Thank you in advance for your support with these events.

Data collection forms have been sent out this week. Please can you ensure that you complete these and return to school as soon as possible. It is important that school has your child’s most up to date information. Thank you for your continued support.
