This term, every week we will be looking at children’s attendance and all those children who have 100% attendance for the week will be put in to a draw to win 10 Dojos. There will be one random winner from each class. To ensure your child is entered into this weekly draw, all you have to do is make sure they are in school on time every day. Thank you for your continued support.
For our homework this half term, the children were challenged to make 17th century houses as part of The Great Fire of London topic.

If you are the parent of a child with a special educational need or disability it can be challenging at times but you are not alone and support is available. Due to the success of our ‘meet the SENDCO meeting ‘ last term we aim to bring together a group of parents who can meet on a regular basis to share ideas, tips and offer advice in a friendly environment.
Our main topic of discussion this term will be mental health. Harriet Gilson (Educational Mental Health Practitioner) from Mental Health Support Teams will be joining us to talk about supporting children’s mental health and answer any questions that you may have.
Come and join us for a drink and a chat. We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible.
Mrs Cryer (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator)
As you will be aware, one of the largest teaching unions intends to go on strike on the 1st February, as well as 28th February, and the 15th and 16th March. Whilst we are not in a position to confirm anything yet, early indications are that school will in some way be affected by this. We will keep you informed as best we are able to, but it is likely that this will be quite last minute. In order to put any plans into place we will be guided by government and LA guidance. Thank you for your patience with this.
The following children have been awarded ‘Star Reader’ and enjoyed going to the ‘Starbooks’ cafe in the library to enjoy a drink and a treat as their reward. Fantastic!
Thank you to all parents who attended the reading workshops this week.
