This morning Year 1 had a visit from some cuddly visitors, to fit in with their learning in English. Ronnie and Reggie the rabbits and Boris the guinea pig came to visit the children. The children had prepared some questions to ask Lauren (who had brought the pets into school.) The children loved handling the pets and finding out about the diet and habits of rabbits and guinea pigs. Next week they will do some writing about how to look after a rabbit or a guinea pig.
Every week during PE, Coach Liam will be choosing pupils to be his PE superstars of the week. Well done to the following children who were fantastic in PE last week:

Please can parents take extra care when driving towards school, particularly on the approach to Roch Mills Crescent from Roch Valley Way.
Please can you be really mindful of your speed as there are lots of pedestrians in this area at drop off and pick up times.
Please can parents also be mindful to local residents and not block/park on driveways.
Rhyden and Radley were mascots at the Rochdale game on Saturday. The family also used some raffle tickets won at our Christmas fair.
Unfortunately there has been an increase in anti-social behaviour by a small number of parents on school grounds. Please can I remind all parents that such behaviour is not acceptable, particularly when children are around. Can I thank the vast number of parents who are supportive in the way they behave and speak when on school grounds.
Our nursery is full at present, but we are now taking applications for September 2024, the deadline for this is the 31st of March 2024 and applications forms are available from the office.
For the Year 4 linking project we will need children to start bringing into school the following items:
· Plastic drink bottles, washed out (preferably with lids)
· Plastic soap / hand gel dispensers, washed out (with pumps or lids preferably)
· Plastic food containers, washed out (mushrooms, grapes and tomato packaging etc)
· Plastic bags
· Thin cardboard packaging (cereal, biscuits and tea boxes etc)
Please can children bring them to the class teacher. Thank you for your continued support.
