Year 6 parents meetings will be taking place on Tuesday 18th March and Wednesday 19th March. Please go to parent mail/parents evening to book an appointment. Appointments are limited to 10 mins– please ensure you arrive early enough for your appointment.
Thank you. Other year groups will have their parents’ meetings after the Easter holidays and we will inform you of the arrangements nearer the time.
On Monday 10th March Reception parents/carers are invited to a Maths workshop after school from 3.30pm to 4pm. This workshop is to inform parents what we hope their children will achieve by the end of the Reception year. It will include ideas and strategies to enable parents to support their children with their learning at home. We would really appreciate it if parents/carers could take the time to attend, as this will benefit you and your children’s learning. The best outcomes for children occur when parents/carers and school work together. If you would like to attend please come to the Reception doors.
Thank you.
The following children have been awarded ‘Star Reader’ and enjoyed going to the ‘Starbooks’ cafe in the library to enjoy a drink and a treat as their reward. Fantastic!

Before the half term, Rochdale's MP Paul Waugh announced an exciting competition for World Book Day. The children needed to think of their favourite book and write an engaging book report on why they like their book so much. We spent lots of time brainstorming ideas to try and hook the reader into our reports, discussing which characters from our stories we resonated with and how the book made us feel. As a result of this, Year 5 produced some fantastic book reports which were sent off to be judged. Out of all the Year 5 classes in Rochdale that took part, Adam Sarwar was crowned runner up with Hawwa Siddique scoring a special mention from the MP. On top of this, if our MP gets called upon in the House of Commons, he has made a promise to mention both Adam and Hawwa by name! This is an amazing achievement and we are so proud of our winners as well as the whole of Year 5 for their hard work and dedication to this competition. Well done Adam and Hawwa!
This week in celebration of World Book day, children came in to school in comfy pyjamas and different costumes. Everyone looked amazing!
Well done to Zahra and Leila for being chosen as Breakfast Club Superstars!
Thank you to the Year 2 parents that attended the Mastering Number workshop. It was lovely to see so many parents.
School Council are running an Easter competition over this term. They will be selling Easter Egg templates from Monday. The children can design their egg as they wish, but MUST use the bought template. The closing date is Thursday 3rd April. There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place!
Well done to the following children for winning the Bookmark Competition!
