We wish to say goodbye and good luck to Mrs Wilson and Miss Maguire.
Thank you for all your hard work, we wish you all the best in your future.
We are excited to announce that Marland ecoMart will be holding their next shop on Wednesday 26th February. It will be at 3-3.30pm in the Dance and Drama room (next to year 5 doors). As the launch was such a success, we are really excited to see you there, either to refill, or to welcome you as new customers. Please support us in our mission to reduce single use plastic waste. It is cash only, it would be great if you could bring the correct cash where possible. We look forward to welcoming you again, with your 500ml plastic container(s)!
The following children have been awarded ‘Star Reader’ and enjoyed going to the ‘Starbooks’ cafe in the library to enjoy a drink and a treat as their reward. Fantastic!

This week some of our children took part in the Dodgeball event at Cardinal Langley High School. Well done Everyone!
Please help us to support your child’s phonics development by regularly going through the phonics sheets that are sent home with them.
We also have green phonics books available to buy for £1—these are a great reminder of how to say the sound to reinforce the learning in school.
Well done to Leila and Charlotte for being chosen as Breakfast Club Superstars!
This week Year 2 had an exciting workshop in school linked to their Great Fire Of London topic.
Please can we remind parents/carers to be mindful of how you speak and behave with staff. Our staff are happy to help and support and will continue to do this. A reminder of our policy in regards to this is attached.
As part of their topic on New Life, Reception have been learning about Growth and Change and looking at a range of animals particularly baby animals and how they grow. Reception will be visiting the Smithills Open Farm on Monday 17th March 2025.
School is subsidising the cost of the trip, but we do ask for a parental contribution of £10. This is a voluntary contribution towards the overall cost of the visit.
Please go to parent mail and complete the consent form (found in the forms section) and please pay for the visit (payments/then shop).
World Book Day is on Thursday 6th March. This year, the theme is 'Read Your Own Way'. We will be holding a competition where children can design a bookmark and the winners will receive book vouchers.
Children can dress in an outfit they would like to read in e.g comfy clothes or pyjamas. If children prefer to dress as a book character then of course they can choose to do this instead.
