We cannot believe this is our 3^rd opening!  Thank you to all the parents/carers and staff who continue to support us in our efforts to reduce single use plastic waste. School Council are proud to announce they have managed to save just over 100 containers from waste since the launch of Marland ecoMart! Also, we managed to sell out of many of the environmentally-friendly products. It would be lovely to see more parents/carers showing their support for our next eco shop, which will be held on Thursday 24^th April at 3-3.30pm on the playground (outside the MUGA).

The after school clubs for Summer term are available to book on parent mail. They will start the week commencing 22^nd April 2025 and will be up until the Summer holidays but there will be no clubs taking place the last week of the term. Sessions will run after school until 4.15pm each week. The cost will be £8- £10 for the half term.

Payment must be made in full (£8-£10) for the term when booking a place. We are unable to reserve places without payment. Places are limited and will be on a first come first served basis. Please note that payments for after school clubs are non-refundable.

Every week children that display good manners are chosen to sit at the Captain’s Table for dinner. Well done to the following children that have been selected to sit at the Captain’s Table.

Every week during PE, coaches will be choosing pupils to be their PE superstars of the week. Well done to the following children who were fantastic in PE last week:

Tickets for our Easter raffle are on sale, Tickets can be purchased from the office for £1 a strip (5 Tickets). These can also be purchased from the shop section on parentmail. The raffle will be drawn on Friday 4th April in school.

There will be a number of prizes on offer such as large, medium and small chocolate eggs, a large teddy, voucher for the Smithills Farm Visit, EdStart Easter holiday club vouchers and much more.

The following children have been awarded ‘Star Reader’ and enjoyed going to the ‘Starbooks’ cafe in the library to enjoy a drink and a treat as their reward. Fantastic!

Year 6 SATS will be taking place week commencing Monday 12th May.

School Council are running an Easter

competition over this term. They will be selling Easter Egg templates from Monday. The

children can design their egg as they wish, but MUST use the bought template. The closing date is Thursday 3^rd April. There will be    prizes for 1st, 2^nd and 3^rd place!

As part of our Eid celebrations, we will be having a non-uniform day on Wednesday 2^nd April. Please feel free to wear Eid clothes, party clothes, or your own clothes [making sure they are suitable for school]. To all those celebrating Eid, we hope you have a lovely time with your friends and families.
