On Thursday 8th May there will be a meeting for Year 1 parents in relation to the upcoming phonics screening check session from 3.30-4pm. To attend please come to the Year 1 classroom doors.
Please note that it is vital that parents attend as this is important for your child’s learning.
Thank you for your continued support.
In English this week in the HIRB, we were working on using descriptive words and phrases to describe fruits based on the book Handa's Surprise. The children thoroughly enjoyed tasting exotic fruits like passion fruits and guavas. They will use this hands-on experience to write their own version of Handa's Surprise.
As we have a number of children in school with allergies, some of whom require epi pens, please could you refrain from sending nuts/ peanut butter sandwiches in to school.
Thank you for your support with this.
This term, every week we will be looking at children’s attendance and all those children who have 100% attendance for the week will be put in to a draw to win 10 Dojos. There will be one random winner from each class. To ensure your child is entered into this weekly draw, all you have to do is make sure they are in school on time every day. Thank you for your continued support.

Whilst it is great to see so many children on scooters at the end of the day, it is becoming dangerous at times in the playground, and there have been some near miss occasions where adults and children have nearly been hit by a child on a scooter. Please can you ensure your child is well supervised if they use their scooter on the playground, and please encourage them to be mindful of those around them.
Thank you for your support.
