The following children have been awarded ‘Star Reader’ and enjoyed going to the ‘Starbooks’ cafe in the library to enjoy a drink and a treat as their reward. Fantastic!

Year 4 are invited to attend the Bradford Science and Media Museum, as part of their computing unit, on Monday 8th June.
School is heavily subsiding this visit and we are asking for a parental contribution of £10. If we do not receive sufficient funds then the visit will have to be cancelled.
Please complete the consent form on parent mail, which can be found in the forms section. Please go to parent mail to pay the parental contribution of £10, by going to payments/shop
We do have after school clubs places still available– if you are interested please bring in cash to reception and we will book you a place. The after school clubs are as follows:
· Monday: KS2 Cricket
· Wednesday KS2 Multi Sports
· Thursday Reception and KS1 Ball Games
Clubs take place straight after school and finish 4.15pm.
If you wish to change your child’s meal pattern after the May half term you must email the school office: office@marlandhill.rochdale.sch.uk no later than Friday 22nd May.
Meal patterns are set per half term. School dinners are £3.10 per day and are to be paid on parent mail.
A reminder that Year 5 will be visiting the Ordsall Hall Museum on the following dates:
· Year 5A Mrs Sodawala’s Class: Monday 18th May 2026
· Year 5B Miss Rainbow’s Class: Wednesday 20th May 2026
Staff at the hall have a severe nut allergy so no nuts are allowed on the premises.
School is heavily subsidising the cost of the trip, but we ask for a parental contribution of £5.
Please go to parent mail and complete the consent form (found in the forms section) and please pay for the voluntary contribution (payments/then shop).
As Eid al-Adha will be in the May half term on, Friday 22nd May children are welcome to come in their own clothes on this day.
Children will have Eid parties in their classroom.
Below are the weekly attendance winners for each class. Please help support this achievement by reminding our winners and parents that they are to look after the prizes and they must be returned to school on Monday.
