Our first group of Year 4 children have been to Hollingworth Lake on their treasure hunt this afternoon.  Please  ensure that you have returned your permission slip for your child to attend.  

A note to parents/carers to please kindly ensure their child brings in their own water bottles, this is to reduce the amount of plastic we all use. Thank you for your continued support.

SATS Revision Books, SATS practise papers, and SATS Revision question cards are available to purchase from the school office at a discounted price.  Revision books and papers are £3 each and Revision cards are £4.50 per pack. Please call at the office if you would like to purchase any.

This half term the children in Year 4 will be going on an orienteering treasure hunt. This will take place in a field next to Hollingworth Lake every Friday afternoon. Children will be going in groups of 12, your child will be told near the time when they are going. Letters have been sent home, please ensure you sign and return the permission slip no later than Thursday 6^th February. Thank you for you continued support.

Mr Hudson’s class go swimming every Tuesday, this will be weekly. Please can parents/carers ensure their child has their swimming kit and towel on this day.  Thank you for your support.

An incident occurred on the staff car park this week where some children were involved in a near miss with a car on the car park.

At Marland Hill, the safety of our children is paramount and we are working very hard to make sure that the car park is not becoming unsafe at drop-off and pick-up times.  The car park should only be used by agreement with the Headteacher in exceptional circumstances. Some children took part in the All4sport Boccia/New Age Curling Festival at Middleton Arena on Thursday.

Some of our children in Year 6 attended Young Voices at Manchester Arena on Thursday. They all performed so brilliantly and we are so very proud of you all.
