  • Coronavirus

    Tue 03 Mar 2020

    *Update*

On Tuesday, the Government Coronavirus Action Plan was launched. This document sets out what the UK as a whole has done to tackle the Coronavirus (COVID-19), and what it plans to do next.   The action plan can be found here:

Letters have been sent home regarding the Coronavirus. Please ensure you read this carefully and follow the advice and guidance on the letter.

We will adopt a common sense approach and take sensible precautions to keep children and staff safe. This includes:

    • Thorough hand washing with soap and water
    • Use of hand sanitisers
    • Use of tissues for sneezes

    The guidance suggests that people:

    • self- isolate for two weeks if you have been in one of the identified areas within the last   fortnight
    •  self-isolate if you have been somewhere near to those areas and you have symptoms
    • if you don't have symptoms  the present guidance says you don't need to self-isolate, but please bear in mind the guidance we receive is changing almost daily.

Please also bear in mind this affect all our children and families, staff and all visitors. We will do the best we can and follow the guidance we are given and in this way help keep all of our children and families, and our staff and their families, as safe as possible.

  • School Uniform

    Thu 20 Feb 2020

Please may we remind our parents/carers to ensure that children wear the correct uniform to school as follows:

    · A navy blue sweatshirt/cardigan incorporating the school

logo or a plain navy blue jumper/cardigan.

    · A plain white shirt or polo shirt.

    · Grey or black trousers, skirt or pinafore dress.

    · Sensible BLACK shoes MUST be worn at ALL times except for during P.E. lessons.

Girls may also wear blue and white check dresses in summer.  Hairstyles should be appropriate for school and we encourage long hair to be tied back out of the way.  Hairstyles should not include those which involve patterns or tramlines being shaved into the hair or eyebrows.  Jewellery should not be worn for school as it poses a health and safety risk. However, a sensible wristwatch may be worn, and if necessary, a small pair of plain stud earrings. Thank you for your support in this matter.
