Your child’s remote learning is set daily.  Nursery, Reception and Year 1 children can access their online work via ‘Tapestry’, and children in Years 2 to 6 should be accessing their work via ’Teams’.  Thank you for all the support you are giving your children to support their home learning.  We appreciate that, at this time, this will be challenging, but please remember we are here to help if needed, so please just give us a call.  If has been lovely to see the number of children (and their parents), submitting work on Teams & Tapestry, so thank you again for this. 

 

Those parents whose children are entitled to free school meals (income related only) will be contacted by Edenred in the next few days, regarding free school meal vouchers.  Please check your emails regularly (including junk/spam folders) to ensure you don't miss it.

 

For those parents who pay for their children’s school meals, an email went out this week on parent mail, asking if you can please check your dinner money accounts, and send payment for any outstanding balance. If you have any queries, please contact the school office.  Thank you.

 

Reception Admissions:  The application deadline for Reception admissions this September has now passed.  If you have not applied for a school place for your child, please contact school admissions at Rochdale Council asap.

Nursery Admissions:   The application deadline for Nursery admissions this September is March 31st 2021.  Application forms can be collected from the school office, and places will be allocated by the end of April 2021.

 

A reminder to please wear a face covering when you are on school grounds and respect the rules of social distancing.  A mask should always cover a person’s nose and mouth.  We understand that some of you may be exempt from wearing a face covering, but if not, please respect our staff and each other by wearing one at all times.  Thank you.

Year 2 Key Worker children can return to school on Monday 25^th January. If you plan for your child to return on this date, please email the school to confirm this in-order for us to make the necessary arrangements. Please let the school know via email:

Dear parents/carers, due to our current staff shortages we are only able to re-open our Nursery to Key worker families (key worker defined by the local authority) from Monday 25^th January.

The current guidelines regarding Critical Workers are:

‘Children with at least one parent or carer who is a critical worker can go to school or college if required, but parents and carers should keep their children at home if they can’ (Gov.uk website).

 

Whilst we recognise many will not have any other option, please can I ask that, if there is an adult at home who can provide childcare, the safest place for your child is at home. Currently in school, some year groups have large numbers of children attending so we are trying to keep everyone as safe as possible.

 

Where possible please only send your child into school if it is essential.  Thank you for your continued support.
