Welcome back to a new school year! I hope you all have managed to have a lovely summer despite these uncertain times, and hope that you have all kept safe and well and are ready for the new school year. We understand that you may be feeling anxious about coming back, but just  to reassure you all that we will do our best to continue to meet your child’s needs. Welcome back! It is lovely to see you all back and welcome to all new children, we looking forward to getting to know you!

The children have been having so much fun learning about vegetables, they made a lovely Collage all about Turnips and what they learned!

Every week during PE lessons, Mr Hilton selects pupils to be his P.E. superstars of the week. Mr Hilton has chosen the following children who were fantastic in PE last week: Well done to them!

In September we are pleased to inform you that we will be able to provide hot meals daily. School dinners will cost £2.40 per day. Meal patterns will continue to be ordered per half term. Please email the school:

office@marlandhill.rochdale.sch.uk no later than Monday 29th August of your child’s meal pattern for the September term. Unfortunately meals cannot be changed over the half term.

Please may we remind you to settle any dinner money arrears before the end of term. Payments can me made online using ‘Parent Mail’,  via the payments section.  The cost of a school meal is slightly increasing from September to £2.40 per day. Please note if your child is currently in Year 2, you will have to pay for their lunches when they go into Year 3, unless you are entitled to free school meals.

From Tuesday 7th September 2021, our Year 5B children in Miss Clarke's class will be starting their swimming lessons at Heywood Sports Village.. Letters have been sent home by parent mail to our current class 4B.  Please complete and submit the consent form as soon as possible. Thank you.
